Yes, SI diamonds are natural, earth-mined diamonds made from the same carbon structure as VVS diamonds. A diamond tester will detect them as real diamonds because they have the same composition.
For us, color is the most important detail when it comes to diamonds in jewelry. It has a significant impact on the overall appearance and value of the piece.
Diamond clarity refers to the absence of internal inclusions or external blemishes. It is graded on a scale ranging from Flawless (no visible inclusions or blemishes under 10x magnification) to Included (I1, I2, I3), where inclusions are visible to the naked eye. The clarity grade is based on factors such as the size, number, position, and nature of the imperfections.
We offer a selection of high-quality metals for our custom jewelry, including Gold, Silver, and Platinum. Each metal is carefully chosen to complement the design and provide durability and elegance to every piece.
“VVS” is a grade that refers to the clarity of a diamond. Clarity is measured by the amount of inclusions — small fissures within the diamond — or blemishes — chips on the diamond’s exterior — when viewed under ten times magnification. Clarity grades include Flawless (F), Internally Flawless (IF), Very, Very Slightly Included (VVS), Very Slightly Included (VS), Slightly Included (SI), and Included (I). The closer to Flawless that a diamond sits on the grading scale greatly raises its value. Additionally, the more inclusions a stone has might impact its durability.
We recommend SI1 clarity with G-H color for a balance of exceptional beauty and value. These diamonds offer excellent visual appeal with minimal inclusions visible to the naked eye and a near-colorless appearance, perfect for stunning jewelry pieces.
While F and IF diamonds are rarely seen by jewelers, they are of higher value. VVS diamonds might have a higher value than those with a VS or SI grading. However, the grading scale also measures cut, color, and carat weight. VS and SI graded diamonds are still high-quality stones, with inclusions not visible to the naked eye in almost all cases.
CTTW stands for carat (CT) and total weight (TW), measuring the total weight of all diamonds in a single piece of jewelry. Carat weight refers to the weight of an individual diamond. The price of a piece depends on how much of the CTTW comes from the main stone versus accenting stones. For example, the CTTW in diamond earrings refers to the total of both earrings.
